Intense Pulsed Light (IPL)
Intense Pulsed Light (IPL), is mainly used by beauty therapists working within physician guidelines. It is a way of removing hair from the body and rejuvinating the skin. Intense Pulsed Light engages the use of a particularly built xenon flash light and focusing optics.
The Intense Pulsed Light hair removal system has become widely used due to its cheap and fast process compared to laser hair removal. The effect of Intense Pulsed Light and Laser Epilation is generally thought to be about the same. IPL is often advertised as "permanent hair reduction" as opposed to "permanent hair removal".
Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) is also used for the treatment of the skin in a process known as photorejuvenation or skin rejuvenation which is a system engaging the use of intense pulsed light (IPL) to treat some skin conditions and remove wrinkles arising from sun related aging.
